This plan is published on the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare website’s “The Database on Promotion of Women’s Participation and Advancement in the Workplace.”

We aim for responsible management in all countries and regions where we operate by complying with human rights standards outlined in the International Bill of Human Rights (Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Covenants on Human Rights) and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and by thoroughly supporting and implementing the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Social and Community Contribution

Approach

  • We recognize that continuous contribution activities to the community are an indispensable and significant social responsibility for the NIPPON KANZAI Group, which operates throughout Japan and globally.

Key Fields

The NIPPON KANZAI Group has supported social infrastructure throughout Japan and overseas based on the founding philosophy embodied in our company name: “We want clients to entrust us with their buildings—valued assets—with confidence. We will protect not just the assets of one regional city, but all those throughout Japan.” In our building management business in particular, we have maintained and managed local facilities through public-private partnership (PPP) projects and other means. In our environmental business for properties under management, we engage in projects that protect water, which supports the lives of residents. Based on such activities, we have identified “contributions to local development” and “consideration for the environment” as our materiality. For social and community contributions, we tackle “revitalizing local economies,” “social welfare,” and “environment” —which are closely related to these businesses—as key fields.

Examples of Initiatives

Revitalizing Local Economies

  • As a PPP Agreement Partner of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, we hold seminars to promote and raise awareness of PPP among local public sector employees and regional companies. (NIPPON KANZAI)
  • In our building management business, we participate in town development councils, take part in locally organized events, and employ local residents. Furthermore, as part of our comprehensive facility management, we are working to increase orders placed with local companies. We believe that actively employing local residents not only creates jobs but also leaves expertise within the community, which is the responsibility of a company operating nationwide. (NIPPON KANZAI)
